Let’s remember the gadgets debuted this year and how they changed the industry.

iPhone X:

We’d be remiss to not mention this one. The X has changed the smartphone industry by making bezel-less screens the norm.  I think 2018 will see a host of new phones that have edge-to-edge screens and no buttons.  

Nintendo Switch: 

This portable video game has brought new life into handheld gaming.  The Gameboy was popular in the day but now have strangely made a comeback in today’s era of smartphone games.  

This is predominantly marketed to children too young for a smartphone.  But there is a growing customer base who likes games but wants to text and talk at the same time.  We’ll see if smart phones take the bait.
