“Alexa…open Cortana.”

Amazon has been selling lots of smart speakers, like the Echo.  And Microsoft’s Cortana is still trying to catch on.

But both are teaming up against their common enemy: Apple’s Siri.

Their solution: have them talk to each other.

Alexa is becoming integrated in thousands of apps from third party developers.  And Cortana is being integrated into the wildly popular Microft Office.

So now together, you can use Amazon’s smart speaker with Microsoft Office and Outlook.

Is this a good idea?

How will Google and Apple respond?
