Google has finally detached Google Plus and YouTube accounts.  So now you can just log-in to the second most popular site in the world without using its lame, twice-removed little brother.

That’s a good thing.  Because now Google will most likely invest more into YouTube (like adding its own social media features).

Google Plus will likely stay around, so keep updating your profile as its most likely still apart of Google’s SEO algorithm.

And as of now, you have to go in and request your current account be detatched.  Which is a good idea if your account has a lot of comments.  Before, those comments were spread to Google Plus.  Which wasn’t good.

But if you just require exposure, I’d keep both connected.  Like I always say: to stay on Google’s good side, you have to play with all their toys.
