New patent photos reveal possible updates to the Surface Pro tablet line.

Looks like Microsoft is trying their take on Apple Smart keyboards. Notice the touch pad and mouse buttons. This could be a very interesting take on the 2-in-1 tablets.

This photo shows a new power cord. It’s comparable to the USB-C port which Apple’s iPad Pro have adopted. Although a Microsoft engineer has said:

“The last thing I want is to take away the port they need today and tomorrow and the next day, to achieve a technology milestone where I then put a barrier in front of my customers,” said Surface chief Panos Panay during the launch of the Surface Pro 5 back in 2017.

So I’d bet there’d be an adapter to the current Surface port.
