So the biggest loss in Stock Market history happened yesterday. Facebook dropped 19% – $120 Billion- after a less than satisfactory financial report.
Today, Twitter opened to a 17% drop in price after their own sales report showed the same.
Life is a pendulum. Trends swing one way and then another. Print has been taking sucker punches ever since the internet blasted into people’s homes. And yet they’re still kicking.
It seems like for the moment, consumers are a bit tired of the social medias. The two biggest social platforms are reporting massive drops in usage.
The pendulum could swing back at any time, but it will interesting to see what takes the place of these social sites. Media consumers will have to go somewhere to feed the beast.
