If you are advertising on Google or YouTube, you need to take care of how your ads are displaying.  And alongside what content.

Content posted by users on YouTube and Google have the option of allowing advertisers to post their ads alongside it.

On YouTube say, an ad could play a video before such publicly posted content.

Several major advertisers have temporarily left Google and its affiliate YouTube due to their ads running on hate speech content.

Major companies, including McDonald’s and L’Oréal, have pulled their ads due to them being posted alongside hateful content.

Google has vowed to correct this problem and no doubt these companies will place their ads again.

Facebook and Twitter execs have also been examining hate speech enforcement on the respective platforms.

It’s important that your advertising is managed by experienced marketers who can monitor this.
