ARKit is now here.

Augmented Reality are images superimposed on reality though cameras.  Pokémon Go is an example.

The latest iPhone is rumored to feature it.  And Apple is using it to enhance app developers.

ARKit is a new tool that allows app makers use the iPhone’s camera and sensor data to map 3D data without using expensive software.

This is a brilliant move by Apple to stay on top of the app game.  By allowing developers unfettered access to sensor data, Apple is calling for more engaging and interactive apps.

Could Apple be planning its own Google Glass or Oculus?

They obviously want 3D apps.  But they’ll need a device for it…
